Black business owner in Atlanta shocked by Trump campaign event at his barbershop

Rocky Jones, a Black business owner in Atlanta, expressed his feeling of betrayal and blindsided after the Trump campaign held an event at his barbershop, Rocky’s Barbershop, the day before the presidential debate. Despite taking pride in his business and welcoming customers from all backgrounds, Jones stated that he never signed up for a political event and that his goal was to serve his community by providing haircuts and engaging in good conversations.

Jones was initially under the impression that he was hosting a small Black business roundtable when prominent Republicans gathered at his shop. However, this left him feeling betrayed as he had not anticipated the political nature of the event. The owner expressed willingness to give back the money he received for hosting the event for two hours. He advised other business owners to be cautious and conduct thorough research before agreeing to host any events during election season.

Despite attempts to contact Atlanta News First regarding the event at Rocky’s Barbershop, the Trump campaign did not respond.
