The match between Raducanu and Mertens is scheduled as the third match on Court No 1, following Coco Gauff and Carlos Alcaraz’s matches earlier in the day. Play on Court No 1 is expected to start at 1pm, so Raducanu’s match could begin around 4:30 pm or 5 pm depending on any delays or changes in the schedule.
British viewers can catch all of the Wimbledon action on BBC Two with live coverage from 10:30 am to 12:15 pm. Outside courts coverage will be available through BBC Red Button from 11 am to 9 pm throughout the day. Raducanu has struggled since then, however, with a poor showing at this year’s Australian Open before narrowly escaping elimination against Renata Zarazua in his first match at Wimbledon.
Despite facing tougher opponents like Elise Mertens next up, Raducanu remains confident and focused on giving his best effort on the court.
Mertens, ranked world No. 33 in singles, has had a solid season so far with notable wins over former Grand Slam champions Garbiñe Muguruza and Marion Bartoli.
