Empowering Local Schools: WEHF Supports Health and Wellness Initiatives in Ishpeming, Negaunee, and NICE Communities

The West End Health Foundation (WEHF) recently presented grants to schools in Ishpeming, Negaunee, and NICE communities. The foundation aims to support health and wellness initiatives in the West End communities and is dedicated to improving the overall health of residents.

In Ishpeming, Carrie Meyer, the superintendent of Ishpeming Public Schools, received the grant on behalf of the school. In Negaunee, Dan Skewis, the superintendent of Negaunee Public Schools, accepted the grant. Finally, in the NICE community, Bryan DeAugustine, the superintendent of NICE Community Schools, received the grant on behalf of the school.

The grants were presented by various members of the WEHF, including Tom Edmark, president of WEHF; Karl Lehmann; Paul Bonetti; Kori Bjorne; and Kurt Lehmann, MD. The foundation is committed to making a positive impact on the health and well-being of individuals in these areas by providing funding for programs and resources that promote health and wellness within these school communities.
