Miami lands commitment from highly sought-after Auburn target Herbert Scroggins

During a recent game against the Pittsburgh Panthers, Miami Hurricanes helmets were spotted on the sidelines at Heinz Field. The game ended in a 16-12 win for Miami, marking a significant victory for the team. However, another triumph came off the field as Miami secured a commitment from four-star EDGE player Herbert Scroggins. Despite being heavily favored to sign with Auburn, Scroggins ultimately chose Miami after visiting both programs.

Scroggins made his decision after visiting Auburn and Miami, ultimately selecting the Hurricanes over ACC rivals North Carolina and Georgia Tech. The Savannah, Georgia native is ranked as the No. 376 overall player and the No. 34 EDGE in the 2025 class, along with being ranked No. 44 in the state of Georgia.

Auburn has been active on the recruiting trail during the offseason but is looking to rebound after recent decommitments and competition from other schools. Currently ranked No. 10 nationally in recruiting and No. 6 in the SEC, Auburn is aiming to improve their ranking as they head into the fall football season.
