Monta Vista High School and Kennedy Middle School Win Big at 40th Annual Science Olympiad National Tournament: Ishanvi Kommula Receives $10,000 Founders’ Scholarship

In late May, student teams from Monta Vista High School and Kennedy Middle School achieved top honors at the 40th annual Science Olympiad National Tournament held at Michigan State University in East Lansing. This was the first win for Monta Vista’s team, while Kennedy’s team celebrated a back-to-back victory. Ishanvi Kommula, a student from Monta Vista, was one of five high school seniors to receive a $10,000 Founders’ Scholarship from the Science Olympiad USA Foundation.

As a reward for their hard work and dedication, the Science Olympiad competition offered Standard Digital Access for $4 for 1 year. The Science Olympiad competition featured 120 middle school and high school teams that had advanced from state-level competitions.
