Bonita Elementary School will receive a $5,000 grant from Valley Telecom Group to upgrade their technology. Led by CEO Troy Judd and Director/Secretary/Treasurer Joe Chapin, the grant will provide the school with MacBooks and monitors for the classrooms. The focus of Valley’s Donation Program is to support rural school systems and community organizations. In addition to providing grants for schools like Bonita Elementary, Valley also offers funding for extraordinary needs as they arise.
The Valley Telephone Cooperative Foundation also allocates over $100,000 in college scholarships to students in their service area, which covers Southeastern Arizona and Southwestern New Mexico. These scholarships are given for one year at a time, paid per semester. Students can receive up to five years of scholarship funding for undergraduate studies, and up to three years for graduate studies. This commitment to supporting education in the community is a key aspect of Valley Telecom Group’s mission.
