Jonas Koch and Carolin Schiff triumph in Hegau at UCI Gravel World Series

In the second round of the UCI Gravel World Series, held in Germany in 2024, Carolin Schiff of Canyon CLLCTV and Jonas Koch of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe emerged victorious. Schiff, who had previously won several prestigious races including the Traka 200, Wish One Millau Grands Causses and Unbound Gravel 200 in 2023, claimed the women’s race with a one-second lead over Janine Schneider of VC Singen.

Meanwhile, Koch took home the men’s title with a 38-second lead over Daan Soete of Grobbendonk. Maaike Colje of Arkea B&B Hotels finished third place in the women’s race, while Petr Vakoc of Canyon Integray L27 came in second place behind Soete. The new gravel race covered a distance of 136km and included two 52km laps and one 32km lap, totaling 2,710m elevation gain.

The UCI Gravel World Series offers opportunities to qualify for the UCI Gravel World Championships in Belgium on October 5-6. The top ten elite men’s results were:
